A WALK THROUGH THE TABERNACLE OF MOSES
THE STORY
A farmer who has sinned has come to the Tabernacle of Moses, to seek forgiveness of his sin by bringing the best lamb of his flock. He has entered the gate (of SALVATION THROUGH JESUS) of the Tabernacle. He has made his SIN SACRIFICE upon the Brazan Altar and is now ready to learn about the front part of the TENT OF THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Now the High Priest describes the Holy of Holies where the PRESENCE OF GOD THE FATHER DWELLS. Finally the High Priest describes his procedure on the DAY OF ATONEMENT, when both his and the Israelites unintentional sins are forgiven.
ESTABLISHING GOD’S PATTERN FOR THE CHURCH
APPLICATION TO TODAY’S CHURCH
THE RESTORATION OF MINISTRY FUNCTIONS IN THE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH
It is most interesting to compare the unusual order of the furniture first listed in Exodus, not being the order they actually appear in the Tabernacle, with the 5 fold ministries (specific types of leadership or ministries within the church) listed in Ephesians 4:11. This illustration gives a practical observation of the biblical order of restoration of leadership ministries to the church in these days. The dates given are approximate times of general acceptance rather than of first appearance.

- 1. Ark of the Covenant: Represents the Godhead. Jesus was, and still is, the “Mercy Seat” through whom all our sins can be forgiven. His return will be the ultimate fulfilment of God’s plan of restoration for mankind. He gave these 5 ministry leadership gifts to the church through the Holy Spirit, to prepare the people for His return. They existed in the early church, were lost in mainstream churches as the anointing of the Holy Spirit was rejected, and are progressively being re-established in those churches that have accepted the move of the Spirit.
- 2. Table of Showbread: The first ministry to be lost and the last to be restored is that of the apostle. We know that the Table of Showbread represents the Word. I, in my ignorance, always thought that the job of the apostle was to set up new churches, probably because that is what the Apostle Paul did. But when you think about it, the enduring contribution that Paul made to the church was the formalising of the major principles and doctrines of the faith. For the true job of the apostle is to pioneer and bring out the truths of God’s word. We can therefore look forward to new understandings of the Word as the ministry of the apostle returns to the church.
- 3. Golden Lampstand: The prophet is the illuminator of the Word through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Illumination was of course, the function of the Lampstand in the Holy Place. A prophet prophesies in revelation, correction, confirmation and foretelling. While the apostle brings out principles relating to the whole church, the prophet interprets and applies these principles to specific situations – to a country, to a church, to an individual.
- 4. Brazen Altar: The Brazen Alter represents the sacrifice, the blood of Jesus. The job of the evangelist is to present this message of God’s saving grace through the blood of Jesus, to the people. The evangelist encourages believers as well as challenging the lost.
- 5. Incense Altar: The Golden Altar as it is often called, was the final place of preparation for the priest before entering into Gods presence. It represents praise, worship and prayer. This Altar typifies the pastor, whose job it is to prepare his people to enter into God’s presence. To co-ordinate all the ministries for his congregation.
- 6. Washing Basin: The washing of the water of the Word. The teachers’ job is to explain the apostles’ principles to the people. The teacher explains the scriptures, showing people how to cleanse and live their lives through their application.
All these roles are essential to the church, just as each item of furniture was to the Tabernacle. Each is an essential link in the full chain of God. It is interesting how God has gradually been lengthening his chain, adding links as His church is restored. The ministry of Apostleship is the last link to be forged before Jesus completes the chain by returning to rule and reign on the earth for a thousand years, as promised in Revelation 20. For there is no Darwinian ‘missing link’ in God!

FROM THE WORD
THE WORDS OF JESUS
May we hear what the Lord is saying to us.....
Parables of the Mustard Seed and the Yeast (Matthew 13:31-5)
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a farmer sowed in his field. Even though it’s the tiniest of seeds it grows much bigger than other plants. In fact it grows into a tree big enough for birds to roost in its branches.”
“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman mixed with a large quantity of flour, until all the dough was raised.”
Parable of the Weeds Explained(Matthew 13:36-43)
In private, as requested by the Disciples.
“The one who sows the good seed is the Son of man,” Jesus explained. “The field is the world. The good seeds are the children of the kingdom. The weed seeds are the children of the evil one. The enemy that sowed the weed seeds is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world. The reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are harvested and burned so it will be at the end of the world. The Son of man will send out his angels, and they will gather up every sinful thing and everyone who does evil, and will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth. Then those who live rightly will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father. Anybody with ears should be listening!
Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl(Matthew 13:44-6)
Followed by more parables.
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. A man found it, reburied it, and then full of joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
The kingdom of heaven is also like a trader looking for good pearls. When he found the most expensive pearl ever he went and sold all he had and bought it.

TWO DOUBLE CATARACTS!!!
We normally do single eye cataract operatrions with the second eye done lter if required.
However, this week 2 gentlemen insisted on having both eyes operated on at once. Successfully fortunately for both!
The man on the left has already had hie eye patcches off and is very happy.
Emmanuel is shown removing the eye patches on the other.
Both men had been blind for 3 years as the cataracts, which are very dense here, robbed them of their sight.
WHAT IS THIS?
Stored in our Pharmacy store, being looked after by Samuel, this is a precious bale.
What is in it?
What does it mean?
See next article.....
THE ANSWER!
The bale contains 50 Mosquito Nets! Each pregnant mother is given one, to reduce the possibility of her getting Malaria while carrying the baby.
The significance is, that after 3 1/2 years, the Public Health System is finally recognizing Kingdom as a valuable contributor to the County's health services. It is nice to be now recognized! LOL!
Next we are looking for a free fridge for keeping immunization drugs, from the spare stock at the local District Hospital. Then we will really know we have made it!
The photo is taken in the Women's Ward of a bed awaiting a patient.
ANOTHER MIRACLE!
Finally, after 2 years of free power, Kenya Power has installed a 3 phase meter in out fuse box.
We have been extremely grateful for the free power, as a result of no 3 phase meters being available.
Kenya Power is virtually bankrupt, in spite of huge funding put into it. Now it requires more. The mamgement is being changed! However, now 70% of homes in Kenya have access to elictricity, which is a huge improvement from when we came, 4 1/2 years ago.
RECYCLING AT ITS BEST
These 2 gentlemen hav made a sidewalk business out of used tyres.
Their main product is jandals, thongs, flip flops, or whatever you call them where you live.
They sell a lot.
Great ingenuity!
BOOK OF THE WEEK
THE PURGING OF THE CHURCH
The Lord has led me to go back to a sermon/prophecy I received in a group mailing, and filed, some time ago. It is by David Wilkerson. David was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade. After the introduction, he gave 11 bullet points about THE GLORIOUS FUTURE JUST AHEAD. As the Lord leads, I will expand on these challenging but inspiring aspects.

Join the many who have downloaded the 'The Words of Jesus'. I am sure you will be blessed by it, as I have been.
One key element here is the setting out in chronological order (as far as it is possible to do so) our Lord's words drawn from all the Gospels, and the elimination of repetition between Gospels.
You may be surprised by the different perspective this presentation gives you both in understanding of His life and ministry, and in achieving a closer relationship with Him.

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
***Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused***
*** Those who can't laugh at themselves leave the job to others. ***
127. Many a True Word...
On his Key Life radio program Steve Brown told of a friend who attended a meeting of a local civic club. One member who was the pastor of a local congregation normally gave the invocation. Since the pastor was absent and there were no other ministers in attendance, the President asked the guest speaker if he would offer the blessing. The speaker stood up and started his prayer, "Being no ministers present, We thank thee Oh God............."
128. Reality Check
An elderly pastor, looking over his large congregation on Easter morning, startled them with this announcement: "My friends, realising that I will not see many of you until next Easter, may I take this opportunity to wish all of you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!"
129. Not 100% Correct, but still... Pretty Accurate.
A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments. They were ready to discuss the last one. The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was.
Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted, "Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbour's wife."
130. Prayer Needed?
Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother's house. Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.
"Johnny, wait until we say our prayer," his mother reminded him.
"I don't have to," the little boy replied.
"Of course you do," his mother insisted, "we say a prayer before eating at our house."
"That's at our house," Johnny explained, "but this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook!"
QWIK QWIP: “If the church wants a better pastor, it only needs to pray for the one it has.”

A DAVID MUSING
The world is going into panic mode, once again, as it seems Delta may be replaced by Omicron as the most feared Covid variant.
It is hard to know what to say, for seemingly these days, you will offend those on one side of the immunization argument or the other!
However, it seems to me, from the relative haven of Kenya, where Covid has only had a minor effect, that both sides, for once, are united in panic.
It seems to me that, in the Christian world, we are little or no different to the secular one.
This is hard for me to understand. For as Paul said in the Bible, to die is to gain. Yes I love life, and even at 74, have much I believe the Lord wishes me to accomplish here before I go to be with Him. Yet, if I were to die tomorrow, as my close friend Rodney Francis did unexpectedly last week, i would be going to a better place,
Yes I love life, well most of it! LOL! Or cry! But I know, as Rodney often said, the best is yet to come, whether it be here on earth, or with my Father and Jesus in the next world.
As followers of Jesus, we take precautions to preserve the lives of ourselves and others, here in our hospital. Interestingly the scientists are now saying that having had malaria, we in Africa have developed a greater natural immunity to Covid. Malaria is no fun though, but now very treatable, and the majority treatment given in the hospital. Incidentally here in Kenya, 10,000 people a year, mainly babies, still die of Malaria each year. In approaching two years of Covid, we have only had 5,300 deaths in a population of 50 million people. So you can see what is the greater enemy to us! This is along with the many others who die of other tropical or infectious diseases. You have to have a strong constitution to survive here.
May we still be a witness to our precious Lord, in the midst of this medical challenge of our lifetime, in any way we can, within the limits of the restrictions placed on us. The phone, messages and social media are not virus transmissible. Let us take this opportunity to encourage others that our Lord reigns in every circumstance we, and others, face. PTL!
His servant and yours
David Tait
