THY KINGDOM COME
The Lord's Prayer, which is really the Disciples Prayer, has fallen out of favour in many churches today. I can understand why, as it has often been simply repeated by rote, not being truly meaningful to those saying it.But it truly is a most amazing and powerful prayer. The best! Which is not surprising, for Jesus Himself wrote it!
I could go on. But what would be even better is to take some time now to contemplate it, letting the Holy Spirit reveal its power to us individually.
In case you have forgotten it, here it is! As it appears in the KJV.
So let us now pray as Jesus instructed us to.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

FROM THE WORD
PRAYER5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
â€â€˜Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’ 14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:5-15)
JESUS' TEACHING ON PRAYER
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.â€
2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:
â€â€˜Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’â€
5 Then he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6 because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.’
7 “Then the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man’s boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!†(Luke 11:1-13)

DAVID'S DOODLINGS
ON REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS163. True repentance is - a godly principle applied.
164. Personal repentance is a verb, not an adjective.
165. True repentance is an action that results in a life changing reaction.
166. Show me one who walks in forgiveness and talks with their wallet, and I will show you a true believer.
167. It is amazing how a sprinkling of forgiveness can calm a raging sea of hurts.
168. Sadly, the human mind subtly subverts the holy, ‘I Am’, into the unholy, ‘I am’!
187. Forgiveness is unique. The more you give the more you get.
188. Forgiveness is the one thing you can have more of by giving it away.
189. There are two inexplicable things in life - that the bumblebee can fly and that the more forgiveness I give, the more I get.
190. Forgiveness flies away, a leaf borne by the wind, soon to be returned upon the wings of an angel.
378. Medicine heals the body, while forgiveness heals the soul.
379. Forgiveness is a mind soothing balm.
380. Repentance brings peace with God - forgiveness, peace with ones self.
381. The simplest way to avoid repentance is not to sin. All too often I forget to follow my own advice!

CRANWELL'S CARTOON
16 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thingmust I do to get eternal life?â€
17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?†Jesus replied. “There
is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the
commandments.â€
18 “Which ones?†the man inquired.
Jesus replied, â€â€˜Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal,
do not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’ and
‘love your neighbor as yourself.’â€
20 “All these I have kept,†the young man said. “What do I still lack?â€
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions
and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come,
follow me.â€
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had
great wealth.
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is
hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell
you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than
for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.†(Matthew 19:16-24)

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
380. JUST CHECKING
When Adam stayed out very late for a few nights, Eve became upset. "You're running around with other women," Eve charged.
"Don't be ridiculous, honey," Adam responded. "You're the only woman on earth."
The quarrel continued until Adam fell asleep, only to be awakened by someone poking him in the chest. It was Eve.
"What do you think you're doing?" Adam demanded.
"Counting your ribs," said Eve.
379. TOO MUCH TO BARE
A Preacher, a missionary, and an overweight tenor from the church choir are visiting Israel when, all of a sudden, they are captured by Arab terrorists. They are informed by these terrorists that they are going to be shot.
The Preacher said, "We are men of God. You can't shoot us!"
When the terrorists refused, the Preacher asked the terrorists for one last request each.
"Okay," said the terrorist chief, "one last request each - but keep it short."
The Preacher says, "I would like to give a two hour sermon and not have anyone in my audience leave or fall asleep."
The tenor says, "I would like to give a two hour concert of my favorite hymns."
"And what about you?" the terrorist chief asked the missionary.
"Oh please!" said the missionary, kneeling with his hands raised in supplication. "Shoot me first!"

664. SEVEN SHUFFLES
In order for a pack of cards to be mixed sufficiently to be played fairly with, it should be shuffled a minimum of seven times. (Seven is also the Biblical number of completion. Playing cards are not in the Bible however.)
665. FREE, MEDICAL ADVICE
A sick person in Babylon sat in the City Square and waited until someone who had previously suffered the same illness could share his or her cure. According to Herodotus, the ancient Babylonians were forbidden to pass an ill person without asking about his trouble and offering information about it if they could. BIBLE GAMES FOR CHILDREN
Welcome to my website !I enjoy making up games for boys and girls - aiming at the under-fourteens generally - using Bible verses, and I am putting some of my ideas on this website.
You will find full instructions on how to make these then how to play them. They cost nothing to make if you use cereal packets for cardboard, and have ready to hand a pen, ruler, scissors, rubber bands, coloured crayons or felt-tips. The game ideas are available for you free-of-charge to use when home-schooling in a family setting or in Bible Church Clubs, etc.
Please email me if you have any problems or if you would like me to make up a game for you based on a Bible verse.

A BOASTFUL GAME
A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager
came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?" they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer."

A MATTER OF TIME
Isn’t time such a wonderful thing,Seems as long as a piece of string.
Not knowing where it begins, or is likely to end,
With so much of it, you can give some to a friend.
In the bright sparkle of youth,
It’s never ending, ’tis the truth!
So much to do, but with all the time in the world,
No hurry to use it! In bed we lie, snugly curled.
Then comes along the responsibilities of life,
Now it’s time to settle down with the wife.
Still the time ahead, it seems so great,
To be lovingly shared, now with a mate.

A DAVID MUSING
The saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."When Kathy came back from Scotland, I took her to the circus, to belatedly celebrate our 35th wedding Anniversary. Our special day had been cut short, as it was the day she had to leave. Aeroplanes wait for no man - or woman!
The circus was absolutely wonderful! While our kids would say we are approaching our second childhood, I would recommend the experience to all. The circus experience, that is! We all need to let down our hair and simply have fun!
Now, can do that at church too?
So until next week...
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD.
His servant and yours
