THE WORDS OF JESUS
May we hear what the Lord is saying to us.....
Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
“It’s like a man who went away on a trip. He called in his servants and entrusted them with what he owned.
To one of them he gave five talents, to another he gave two, and to another one, according to their different abilities. Then he left. Immediately the one with five talents went and invested them in a business, and made another five talents. In the same way the one with two talents made another two. But the man who’d received the one talent went off and dug a hole and hid his master’s money. A long time later the master of those servants returned, and settled accounts with them. The one with five talents came and presented the other five talents. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘You gave me five talents. Look, I’ve made a profit of five talents.’ His master said to him, ‘You’ve done well—you are a good, faithful servant. You have proved yourself trustworthy over small things, so now I’m placing you in charge over many things. Be happy because I’m really pleased with you! The one with two talents also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘You gave me two talents. Look, I’ve made a profit of two talents.’ His master said to him, ‘You’ve done well—you are a good, faithful servant. You have proved trustworthy over small things, so now I’m placing you in charge over many things. Be happy because I’m really pleased with you!’ “Then the man with one talent came. “Master,’ he said, ‘I know that you’re a hard man. You reap where you didn’t sow, and you harvest crops that you didn’t plant. So since I was afraid of you I went and buried your talent in the ground. Look, you can have back what belongs to you.’ But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you think I reap where I don’t sow, and harvest crops I didn’t plant, then you should have deposited my silver in the bank so that when I returned I could have had my money with interest. Take the talent away from him, and give it to the one with ten talents. For everyone who has will be given even more; and everyone who doesn’t have anything, even what they have will be taken away from them. Now throw this useless servant out into the darkness where there’ll be crying and gnashing of teeth.’
Warnings About the Judgment (Matthew 25:31-46)
Separating the Sheep from the Goats.
“But when the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his majestic throne. Everyone will be brought before him. He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He’ll place the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to the ones on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, and inherit the kingdom that’s been prepared for you from the beginning of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you visited me.’ Then those who are right will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you, or thirsty and gave you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and visit you?’ The king will tell them, ‘I tell you the truth: whatever you did for one of these of least importance you did for me.’ “He’ll also say to those on his left, ‘Go away from me, you who are doomed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels! For I was hungry and you didn’t give me anything to eat. I was thirsty and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger and you didn’t invite me in. I was naked and you didn’t clothe me. I was sick and in prison and you didn’t visit me.’ Then they will also answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t look after you?’ Then he will tell them, ‘I tell you the truth: whatever you didn’t do for one of these of least importance you didn’t do for me.’ They will go away into eternal condemnation, but those who are right will enter eternal life.”
Jesus Predicts His Day of Crucifixion (Matthew 26:1-2)
To his disciples.
“You know that it’s Passover in two days time, and the Son of man will be handed over to be crucified.”

(Kathy with Selina, our hostess in whose house we have lived for 3 1/2 years now!)
TATWA, OUR ADMINISTRATOR, SIGNING OUR CONTRACT
WHY ARE WE SO EXCITED!
*****It is all down to the maths! Figures are my favourite!
Finally, Finally, Finally, after 1023 days (Just on2 years 10 months) we have received our NHIF Contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing, incredible stupendous - and very much needed.
*****The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a quasi-Government Health Insurance Scheme for the masses. From as little as $US5 (NZD6) you can receive health cover over all your family under 18! Imagine that in the West! Currently about 1/3 of Kenyans are covered, but shortly the Government will use NHIF as the vehicle to introduce Universal Health Care. The Government will pay for the poorest 1 million individuals and families. It will be compulsory for everyone else immediate impact on our hospital will be huge, increasing patients 5-10 times and revenue by 3 times per patient, or more! That is helping many more people and obtaining 15-30 times the current revenue
*****Longer term it will enable us to provide both eye and general services to to many, many more people.
It has been a huge battle and test of faith for Kathy and I as the delays in the process have been extreme, However, the Lord has uteach us more about Himself and to grow us further as His disciples.
*****To those who have supported us over these past, approaching 4 years we have been in Kenya we trust you will now see the fruits of your investment. Thank you all so much. To K, S, J, and CBM, we offer special thanks, for we would not be here without your extra generous support.
*****TThis week we have done 14 cataracts, providing sight for the blind. Tomorrow we will rest a little, although work continues, before we really get stuck in on Monday and make the most of which the Lord, through you, and FINALLY, the Kenyan bureaucracy, has given us!
OUR THIRD BIRTHDAY
Sunday 14 March, marked 3 years since the KINGDOM FAITH BASED HOSPITAL opened!
Where has the time gone!
Of course we had to have a ‘Kathy Kake’ as is our tradition to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions As you can see, with our growing staff below, Kathy remains well versed in the art of cooking banana cakes!
We anticipate our staff will double over the next short time as we have to deal with the anticipated increase in patient numbers and services offered.
At times, when things have been difficult, time has dragged, and we have wondered if we have made any progress, but at others, time has gone fast. It is hard to believe we will have been here for 4 years in July and that the Hospital has now been open for 3 years.
What a lot we have learned over that time! We are now very different people than when we came, not only in learning Kenyan ways, but also learning to rely on God more and allow Him to change us.
We look forward to the year ahead when we expect things to really take off and we will see more fruit from the seeds that have been sown. In 6 months’ time the hospital should be offering full hospital services including X ray and a Theatre.
There is a lot to look forward to!
HELPING THE COMMUNITY
During the summer, in particular, when the rivers and streams have dried up, water is a precious commodity.
As we have a 95 metre deep bore, from which we can draw 7,000 litres per hour, we are able to help the community with free water.

'THE WORDS OF JESUS' REMAIN AVAILABLE FOR PDF DOWNLOAD
Join the many who have downloaded the 'The Words of Jesus'. I am sure you will be blessed by it, as I have been.
One key element here is the setting out in chronological order (as far as it is possible to do so) our Lord's words drawn from all the Gospels, and the elimination of repetition between Gospels.
You may be surprised by the different perspective this presentation gives you both in understanding of His life and ministry, and in achieving a closer relationship with Him.

DAVID'S DOODLINGS
1276. For Christ, the world is won one by one!
1312. Theology is based on knowledge while understanding is grounded in relationship.
1313. Our best sermon is our life.
1314. Sadly, many Christians are more concerned about the Bible version you read than the Bible you live!
1316. It is great to LOVE the Word, but it is God's desire for us to LIVE the Word. What a difference a letter makes!

28. Who’s Lying?
A minister told his congregation, "Next week I’m going to preach about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."
The Following Sunday he asked for a show of hands as to how many had read Mark 17. Every hand went up. (Shouldn’t need to continue this but…..)
The minister smiled and said, "Mark has only 16 chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying."
QWIK QWIP: “Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.”

A DAVID MUSING
WHAT A RELIEF
I don't know about you, when something you have been waiting for, for a long time, happens.
But for us, getting Provider Status for the Kenyan National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), after a 3 year wait, was more of a relief, than excitement!
Sometimes, what we were looking forward to with great anticipation, doesn't always work out how you think it will.
In God, waiting is a time of training, moulding you more and more into His image. Now for us, we will give Him the glory, rather than taking it for ourselves.
This is the way of God.
Until next time.....
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD
His servant and yours
