There have been nearly 300 downloads to date. One key element here is the setting out in chronological order (as far as it is possible to do so) our Lord's words drawn from all the Gospels, and the elimination of repetition between Gospels.
You may be surprised by the different perspective this presentation gives you both in understanding of His life and ministry, and in achieving a closer relationship with Him.

WHOSE CHURCH IS IT ANYWAY?
THE POST APOSTOLIC CHURCHThe major question now is, "where is the church of the 21st Century heading".
Fourteen years into the new century, it is becoming more apparent that God is 'doing a new thing'. But as we have seen over the past 2000 years, through the Dark Ages, the Reformation and the Holy Spirit revivals of the 20th century, the Holy Spirit will always be to the fore of what transpires.
Regrettably from a human perspective, all past movements of the Holy Spirit have come to an end, primarily because man has codified them and taken over. Like Moses, the world's humblest man and the closest to God before Jesus, when he hit the rock, (which he had done successfully before to bring water), rather than talk to it as God had instructed him to do,(Numbers 20:13) man has always seemingly known better than God. This cost Moses the opportunity to take the Israelites into the Promised Land.
So where do we go from here? What is God doing here and now, and into the future.
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENTS IN THE 21ST CENTURY.
GOD'S CALL TO TODAY'S CHURCH - A SUMMARY
These principles are taken from the publication A REVELATION OF……. GOD'S CALL TO HIS CHURCH - A call for change. DOWNLOAD HERE
A summary of the changes required follows.....
1: FROM MARTHA TO MARY
God is calling out to Himself today a 'Mary church'. A generation of people fully sold out to Jesus. A generation prepared to lay down everything for their Saviour and Lord. For it is this Mary generation that will arise from the depths of criticism and ridicule within the church to usher in the return of the Lord.
DAVID'S DOUBTS "Maybe God, we can organise a seminar then, on how to become a Mary?" "No David, for I am roaming the earth searching out those whose hearts are truly towards me. Seek me with all your hearts, my sons and my daughters, as did Mary. Then I can, and will, use you to change the world."
2: FROM A GREEK TO A HEBREW ORIENTATION
God is calling out to Himself today a 'church of 'Christ-like disciples', imitating Jesus. A church based not on intellectualism and men's wisdom, but God's power! This is the church God is calling us to today. A church operating in the image and ways of Jesus!
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "You mean God, I am to be like you 24/7, not just 1/168!" "Yes David" "Okay Lord, I hear you, believe you, and will do my best to be as Jesus was - but without the beard, please, for mine is so wispy!"
3: FROM REVIVAL TO HABITATION
God is calling out to Himself today a people prepared to allow the Holy Spirit to inhabit and change their lives on an ongoing basis, establishing His spiritual kingdom within, preparing for the glorious day when He returns to establish His physical kingdom in which to rule and reign with His overcoming disciples for 1000 years.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But Lord, it is so much easier to stay as I am! I am comfortable with me!" "But David, are you like me then?" "Ah, well Lord...... no! Okay Lord, I take the hint!"
4: FROM KINGSHIP TO SERVANTHOOD
PRINCIPLE 4: God is calling out to Himself a servant church, one prepared
to sacrifice everything for Him, as did His Son, Jesus, continuing to serve, no
matter what the cost to pride, ego, comfort, to our very life.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, it would be nice to be appreciated - sometimes!" "You are by me all the time, my son." "Thank you God!"
5: FROM RECEIVING TO GIVING
God is calling out to Himself today a people who are prepared to give our whole life to Jesus, as Jesus did for us.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, I need an aeroplane to be efficient for you!" "If it is that critical David, I will get you there - my way!" "Okay God..."
6: FROM SONG TO HEART WORSHIP
God is calling out to Himself today a people who will worship Him with their whole life and being. Others should be able to see that we are sold out to Jesus in both word and action. A challenge? Yes! But the people God is seeking today.
"But God, surely Sunday is enough?" "But you want Me to be with you 24/7, don't you?" "Okay God, I get it!"
7: TO CHANGE FOCUS FROM US TO HIM
God is calling out to Himself today a church fully focused upon Him, prepared to be changed into His image, no matter what sacrifice this requires.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, if we don't be user friendly, people will get upset and not come." "Why not try being friendly to Me, and see what I will do." "Okay, God - it is Your church, after all.."
8: FROM NUMBERS TO DISCIPLESHIP
God is calling all believers to grow into disciples. Pastors, leaders, your shepherding role is to encourage your people to open their door fully to Jesus.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, if I have a big church it will glorify you - and pay my salary!" "Who will it glorify David?" "OK God, me really! I understand now. Forgive me Lord."
9: FROM BUILDINGS TO COMMUNITY
God is calling His people out of buildings and back into the community. May we not be beguiled into believing that God lives in buildings of brick, stone or wood, irrespective of how beautiful, serene or peaceful they may be to our eyes. Instead, let us seek to instil the truths of Jesus into the hearts of men and women, where the real church, God's kingdom, is found.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, if I have a big building, many will be attracted to You." "To me - or to you?" "OK God, I understand."
10: FROM SERVING PROGRAMMES TO MEETING INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
God is calling His people to become personally involved in meeting individual needs within the community. Of course we need to co-operate, helping and encouraging one another, but the extension of God's kingdom depends upon you, and upon me, doing the work. This will not happen through reliance upon man generated programmes that have worked somewhere else. Yes, God is calling on you and on me individually, to be the light of Jesus to a lost world.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: "But God, this latest programme is sure to work! It increased XYZ Church 100 fold! And they have told me how to do it!" "David, why not try following my instructions, and be as Jesus to your neighbours." "Okay God, but it's hard!" "But not when I am with you, my son."
11: FROM PRIESTLY FOCUS TO PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT
God is calling all His people to become personally involved in the ministry of the kingdom, a people willing to work for Jesus in the way the Lord has shown them to
do. It is a more difficult road for the leadership, but the truth is, we are to
be like Jesus and act as He acted.
DAVID'S DOUBTS: But God, how can I fulfil MY vision if I have no flock to help me, for surely my vision is their vision!" "David, my son, serve your people and give your life up for them, as Jesus did." "But God... OK God!"
12: FROM MATERIALISM TO SPIRITUALITY
God is calling His people to change focus from the material to the spiritual. There will come a time when the physical and the spiritual will be reunited as it was in the Garden before Adam and Eve sinned. But that is another story, one dependant upon the spiritual development of our character to become like Jesus.
DAVID'S DECLARATION: "This time, God, I understand. For I have been a millionaire twice and bankrupt twice and know in which state I come closer to you. And recently, you called on us to give away our protective 'nest-egg', Lord. I am learning not to worry about tomorrow - well, most of the time!"
ARE WE UP TO THE CHALLENGE?
So we can continue to say.....
THE TRUE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS ARE ONES WHO ARE OBEDIENT TO THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THEIR LIVES.

FROM THE WORD
THE WORDS OF JESUS continuedThe Lord has asked me to compile a publication of the words Jesus spoke, as recorded in the New Testament in chronological order.
Of course, it is not a Bible substitute! I Hope you find it helpful too, in your walk with Jesus.
Disciples Admire the Temple (Matthew 24:1-2, Mark 13:1-2, Luke 21:5-6)
“You see all these buildings? I tell you the truth: there won’t be one stone left upon another. Every last one will come crashing down!â€
The Four Fishermen Disciples Ask Jesus (Matthew 24:3-35, Mark 13:3-31, Luke 21:7-31)
About the signs of the end of the age.
“Make sure no one misleads you,†“Many will come claiming to be me, saying, ‘I’m the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many people. You’ll hear about wars, and rumors about wars, but don’t be anxious. These things have to happen, but this isn’t the end. Nations will attack other nations, and kingdoms will fight against other kingdoms. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places, 8but all these things are
just the beginnings of birth pains.
“Then they will arrest you, they will persecute you, and they will kill you. All people will hate you because of me. At that time many believers will give up believing. They will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will come and deceive many people. The increasing evil will lead the love of many to grow cold, but those who hold out to the end will be saved. The good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed around the whole world so everyone will be able to hear it, and then the end will come. So when you see the ‘evil that defiles’ standing in the holy place that the prophet Daniel spoke about (those who read this please consider carefully), then the people living in Judea should run away to the mountains. Anyone who is on the housetop must not go down and fetch what’s in the house. Anyone who is out in the fields must not go back to get a coat. How awful it will be for those who are pregnant, and those who are nursing babies at that time! Pray that you don’t have to run away in winter, or on the Sabbath day. For at that time there will be terrible persecution—more terrible than anything that has happened from the beginning of the world up till now, and won’t ever happen again. Unless those days are cut short, nobody will be saved, but for the sake of the chosen those days will be cut short.
“So if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here’s the Messiah,’ or, ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. For false messiahs will appear, and false prophets too, and they will perform incredible signs and miracles in order to deceive the chosen, if that were possible. Notice that I’ve told you this before it even happens. So if they tell you, ‘Look, he’s out in the desert,’ don’t go looking there; or if they say, ‘Look, he’s secretly here,’ don’t believe it. For the coming of the Son of man will be like the lightning that flashes brightly from east to west. Vultures gather where the carcass is.’
“But right after those days of persecution the sun will be darkened, the moon will not shine, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the peoples of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and in brilliant glory. With a blast from a trumpet he will send his angels to gather his chosen ones from every place, from one end of heaven and earth to the other.
“Learn an illustration from the fig tree. When its shoots become tender and leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is coming. In the same way when you see all these things happening, you know that his coming is near, in fact it’s right at the door! I tell you the truth: this generation won’t pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth may pass away, but my words won’t pass away.

RELIGION, REVELATION AND GOD'S KINGDOM1046. When religion fails you, turn to God.
1047. So often the church attempts to compete with God's kingdom rather than promoting it.
1048. God's vision is our mission.
1049. Religion is the eager repository of yesterday's revelation.
1050. Revelation is eternal truth meeting today's circumstances.
1051. Revelation is from God's heart, religion, a product of the heart of man.
1052. Today's revelation becomes tomorrow's religion.
1053. One dose of God is worth more than a billion of religion!
1054. When mankind cannot accept God's revelation, they adapt it to become religion.
1055. The cost of God's kingdom is obedience, religion's, money. Most of us take the easy option!

THE WORLD'S GREATEST PROBLEM!!!!! (Next to knowing Jesus)
5 REGRETS OF THE DYINGAs compiled by Bronnie Ware, a former Australian palliative nurse.
1. I WISH I HAD THE COURAGE TO LIVE THE LIFE I WANTED TO LIVE, NOT WHAT OTHERS EXPECTED OF ME. In particular, the dying wish they had actioned their dreams.
2. I WISH I HADN'T WORKED SO HARD. Most wished they had spent more time with their families. And to give more time to stay healthy, exercise and reduce stress.
3. I WISH I'D HAD THE COURAGE TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS. Regretting bitterness, unforgiveness, and not being willing to express love.
4. I WISH I'D STAYED IN TOUCH WITH MY FRIENDS. You aren't going to lie on your deathbed wishing you had more money, but would rather reflect on a life well lived with others.
5. I WISH I HAD ALLOWED MYSELF TO BE HAPPIER. People look back on the good times and regret they didn't take the opportunity to enjoy them more at the time.
While these are expressed in a worldly fashion, there are many correlations with the teachings of Jesus amongst them.
THE IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISE
This week, I have been unable to exercise fully, due to my confrontation with a flight of stairs in the dark - which I lost! Strained ligaments in my knee have stopped with a jolt aerobic training (of the heart - walking, running, biking etc.) and limited anaerobic (weights etc.) significantly.
While I am sure that losing weight is 80% diet related, the exercise component is still vital, both for wellbeing and maximising the affects of diet. Overall I am just in a holding pattern weight wise for another week.
Diet and exercise do need to go hand in hand for the best results. My sore knee, and stomach attest!

76. DIVINE WISDOM
A local priest and pastor were fishing on the side of the road.
They thoughtfully made a sign saying, "The End is Near! Turn yourself around now before it's too late!" and showed it to each passing car.
One driver that drove by didn't appreciate the sign and shouted at them: "Leave us alone you religious nuts!"
All of a sudden they heard a big splash, looked at each other, and the priest said to the pastor .....
"You think we should just put up a sign that says 'bridge out' instead?"
75. EARLY TO CHURCH!
Ever notice that you have to get to church pretty early to find a seat in the back row?
74. SHORT SERMONS
1. Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited until you try to get into their pews or their favorite church parking spot.
2. Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisers.
3. It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.
4. We were called to be witnesses, not lawyers.
5. When you get to your wit's end, you'll find God lives there.
6. People are funny. They want the front of the bus, middle of the road, and the back of the church.
7. Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your door for years.
8. Quit griping about your church; if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.
9. The phrase that is guaranteed to wake up an audience: "And in conclusion."
10. If the church wants a better pastor, it only needs to pray for the one it has.
11. To make a long story short, don't tell it.
12. Some minds are like concrete, thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.
13. I don't know why some people change churches. What difference does it make which one you stay home from?
14. A lot of church members are singing "Standing on the Promises" while they are just sitting on the premises.

LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Thomas Edison did not invent, as many people believe, but improved upon electric lights. But which of these were Edison inventions? The phonograph, the motion picture camera, the mimeograph machine, the electric vote recorder, the dictating machine, and wax paper?ANSWER: They all were! His mind was so inventive that he applied for a new patent approximately every fortnight! (Edison’s endless energy.)
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: The strongest muscle in our body is found in our leg, arm, hand or head?
Answer Next Week.
666. NAME CHANGE
The weasel, which is brown in summer, is known as an ermine in the winter, once its fur turns white. (A subtle variation on the coat of many colours.)
667. WALKING ON WATER - LILIES
The giant water lily Victoria Regia has leaves that can grow as big as eight feet across and so they are heavy enough to support the weight of a small child or animal. (Giant, not ‘liliput’!)
668. MISTAKEN GENIUS
Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison and Issac Newton had trouble in school. Just goes to show that genius is not always evident to those who are trained to develop it. (Probably knew more than their teachers anyway.)

23. THE WANDERING WEEVILTwo boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as "the lesser of two weevils."
24. CARE PACKAGES
My office collects care packages of snack food, reading material, etc. to be sent to the Army Reserve stationed in the Middle East. Among the suggestions for gifts is rat poison, apparently to deal with a persistent problem In their housing units. "That's a first," I told my co-workers. "Now we're sending packages to Afghanistan containing weapons of mouse destruction."
25. COLD CAKE
Two Eskimos, sitting in a kayak, were chilly, but when they lit a fire in the craft, it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too.
26. THE BARBER
After twenty years of shaving himself every morning, a man in a small Southern town decided he had had enough. He told his wife that he intended to let the local barber shave him each day. He put on his hat and coat and went to the barber shop, which was owned by the pastor of the town's Baptist Church.
The barber's wife, Grace, was working that day, so she performed the task. Grace shaved him and sprayed him with lilac water, and said, "That will be $20." The man thought the price was a bit high, but he paid the bill and went to work.
The next morning the man looked in the mirror, and his face was as smooth as it had been when he left the barber shop the day before. Not bad, he thought. At least I don't need to get a shave every day. The next morning, the man's face was still smooth. Two weeks later, the man was still unable to find any trace of whiskers on his face.
It was more than he could take, so he returned to the barber shop. "I thought $20 was high for a shave", he told the barber's wife, "But you must have done a great job. It's been two weeks and my whiskers still haven't started growing back."
Expecting his comment, the expression on her face didn't even change. She responded, "You were shaved by Grace. Once shaved, always shaved."
27. RASS HOUSES
The story is told of an African chieftan who lived in a simple grass hut, and sat on an elegant, hand carved, wood throne. After ruling for a few years, he became a bit haughty and decided that wood wasn't good enough for him, he wanted a gold throne. So he commissioned his craftsmen to create a beautiful gold throne, and he took the wood one and stored it in the small attic of his hut. A few months later, the sounds of warring natives from another tribe were heard approaching the village, and the African chief quickly assumed that they were probably going to come and steal his gold throne. So he exchanged the thrones, bringing the wooden one back down and hiding the gold throne in the attic. While he sat there anticipating the arrival of the enemy tribal warriors, suddenly the gold throne upstairs broke through the ceiling and came crashing down on the chief's head, and killed him.
So what is the moral of this story? "People in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones."

Antisemitism on rise across Europe 'in worst times since the Nazis'
Experts say attacks go beyond Israel-Palestinian conflict as hate crimes strike fear into Jewish communitiesJon Henley
The Guardian, Thursday 7 August 2014 15.12 EDT
In the space of just one week last month, according to Crif, the umbrella group for France's Jewish organisations, eight synagogues were attacked. One, in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles, was firebombed by a 400-strong mob. A kosher supermarket and pharmacy were smashed and looted; the crowd's chants and banners included "Death to Jews" and "Slit Jews' throats". That same weekend, in the Barbes neighbourhood of the capital, stone-throwing protesters burned Israeli flags: "Israhell", read one banner.
In Germany last month, molotov cocktails were lobbed into the Bergische synagogue in Wuppertal – previously destroyed on Kristallnacht – and a Berlin imam, Abu Bilal Ismail, called on Allah to "destroy the Zionist Jews … Count them and kill them, to the very last one." Bottles were thrown through the window of an antisemitism campaigner in Frankfurt; an elderly Jewish man was beaten up at a pro-Israel rally in Hamburg; an Orthodox Jewish teenager punched in the face in Berlin. In several cities, chants at pro-Palestinian protests compared Israel's actions to the Holocaust; other notable slogans included: "Jew, coward pig, come out and fight alone," and "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas."
Across Europe, the conflict in Gaza is breathing new life into some very old, and very ugly, demons. This is not unusual; police and Jewish civil rights organisations have long observed a noticeable spike in antisemitic incidents each time the Israeli-Palestinian conflict flares. During the three weeks of Israel's Operation Cast Lead in late 2008 and early 2009, France recorded 66 antisemitic incidents, including attacks on Jewish-owned restaurants and synagogues and a sharp increase in anti-Jewish graffiti. But according to academics and Jewish leaders, this time it is different. More than simply a reaction to the conflict, they say, the threats, hate speech and violent attacks feel like the expression of a much deeper and more widespread antisemitism, fuelled by a wide range of factors, that has been growing now for more than a decade.
"These are the worst times since the Nazi era," Dieter Graumann, president of Germany's Central Council of Jews, told the Guardian. "On the streets, you hear things like 'the Jews should be gassed', 'the Jews should be burned' – we haven't had that in Germany for decades. Anyone saying those slogans isn't criticising Israeli politics, it's just pure hatred against Jews: nothing else. And it's not just a German phenomenon. It's an outbreak of hatred against Jews so intense that it's very clear indeed."
Roger Cukierman, president of France's Crif, said French Jews were "anguished" about an anti-Jewish backlash that goes far beyond even strongly felt political and humanitarian opposition to the current fighting: "They are not screaming 'Death to the Israelis' on the streets of Paris," Cukierman said last month. "They are screaming 'Death to Jews'." Crif's vice-president Yonathan Arfi said he "utterly rejected" the view that the latest increase in antisemitic incidents was down to events in Gaza. "They have laid bare something far more profound," he said.
Nor is it just Europe's Jewish leaders who are alarmed. Germany's chancellor, Angela Merkel, has called the recent incidents "an attack on freedom and tolerance and our democratic state". The French prime minister, Manuel Valls, has spoken of "intolerable" and clearly antisemitic acts: "To attack a Jew because he is a Jew is to attack France. To attack a synagogue and a kosher grocery store is quite simply antisemitism and racism".

A REVELATION OF……. GIVING TO GODIn Christianity, we hear an awful lot about what God has done for us, but much less of what He desires from us in return!
There is a saying that 'salvation is a free gift, but discipleship costs us everything!' For as Jesus sacrificed His life for us on Calvary's grim hill, so we, in turn, are to model Him, and sacrifice our life for God and for others.
In this study we are going to look at the ways in which we are to offer God the sacrifices He so much desires from us - Praise and Worship, Prayer and Fasting and Tithes and Gifts.
My God sacrificed His son Jesus, for me! Surely, the first thing I can do for Him is to offer back the sacrifices He desires of me. Is that too much to ask?
In theory we would probably agree, but the practice of our lives often tends to fall short of our good intentions!
I trust that this study will encourage you, as it has me, to give back to God what He desires of each one of us.

WAXING LYRICAL
Do you too have days when you need to get something done, but it just doesn't happen! Then, you will understand!TOMORROW
I would like some inspiration,
But find only perspiration!
My brain is running hot,
My pen - certainly not.
Do you have those days too,
When no ideas come through?
No matter what you think or do,
You're dreams just wont come true.
It's a struggle,
Words you juggle.
This way and that,
Even kick the cat!
Not politically correct, of course,
But neither is, 'eating a horse'.
I'm so hungry I could,
Well - maybe I should.
What a good idea!
But I can't even find anything to rhyme with this 'e-a' word!!!
It's absurd!
Nothing heard!
So now it's time for bed,
To go rest my weary head.
Please ignore my uncreative pain,
For tomorrow, I can start again!

A DAVID MUSING
This week has been a pain! Literally and figuratively.Ah well - my strained knee ligaments are improving, enough to now get rid of the pain killers.
And business, which looked hopeless earlier in the week, took an upturn at the end.
Here in New Zealand we are looking forward to spring next month, while many of our friends in the Northern Hemisphere will be enjoying the height of summer. Enjoy it while you can for it will soon be starting to head down our way!!!
Life has it's seasons. At times, all seems hopeless, doesn't it. But in the midst of our 'winters' we need always to remember that spring will surely arrive.
May we continually seek 'hope' in the promises of our Jesus today.
So until next week.....
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD
His servant and yours

A ministry dedicated to developing discipleship, fostering unity amongst God’s people to achieve the Great Commission, and in doing so, preparing for Christ’s return. It is securely based upon the foundational principles of the Apostles Creed while recognising the wide and rich diversity of beliefs amongst Christians in other areas. In accordance with the Lord’s direction, materials produced by the ministry are available, free of charge, to genuine enquirers upon request. The ministry is solely funded by donations, as the Lord provides. A list of materials available (plus some fun!) is obtainable and freely downloadable from our websitewwj.org.nz or by contacting us as follows.

Our role is to bless and encourage those in ministry while promoting co-operation and unity of direction amongst the body of Christ, as emphasised 3 times by Jesus in His longest prayer, immediately prior to His arrest and crucifixion. "… so that they may be one as we are one." (John 17:12, 21, 23-4) Our website is currently being developed to encourage your participation one with another, to share resources, and to enable you to promote events and items of interest to the body as a whole – and have a smile while doing it!
