THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL - ANSWERING GOD'S CALL TO UNITY!
There is a call being trumpeted about, through and to God's church today, calling His people to oneness in His Spirit. A call which after centuries of division and greater division since the great awakening of the 16th Century Reformation, people are starting to hear, understand, and more importantly, to heed.As God has gradually restored His church over these turbulent centuries, man's pride has continually got in God's way. It's so sad that with the restoration of each foundational truth, those to whom the latest truth has been revealed have proclaimed, "We are the best, we now have it all! We need no more!" And so another new denomination is founded, locked into 'their' revelation, and the Lord has had to find a new group of people, willing and open to listen to His voice. Until they then too fall into the same error and God's people are further divided. How true, and sad, it is that those at the forefront of the last revival are so often the greatest critics of the next. For no one will have the full and final revelation until the return of Jesus! Oh, how we need to understand and absorb that and bury our human pride! There is always more! For Jesus Himself is the final revelation to the world and us!
Have you noticed today how in the natural, the use of the Shofar is spreading throughout the church? Twenty years ago, the few who knew about it, simply regarded it as a quaint Old Testament Jewish instrument. Yet today, it has truly come into fashion, and is blown in churches right around the world. Just by chance? No!
For the Shofar was used on the day of the Feast of Trumpets to call God's people together to 'celebrate' the Holy Day of Atonement, when the High Priest made sacrifices for the sins of all the people of Israel. And afterwards, to celebrate and give God thanks for His provision of the harvest at the glorious Feast of Tabernacles itself.
What symbolism it provides for God's church in these final days! For the Trumpet call to holiness is being made to God's church, and in so doing to bring unity, so that the we might celebrate the bountiful harvest before the promised return of Jesus. Aren't we all be looking forward to that day!
Of course, the call to holiness has always been God's heart desire for each and every one of His followers, but today this call is also being directed to His Church as a whole. And some will heed and some will not, leading to the promised fall away before we see the dressing of the pure, white robed, righteous bride, fully prepared and ready to receive her Bridegroom.
Now we all know that this will take a miracle - perhaps the greatest miracle of all! But it is starting to happen. Dedicated followers are beginning to put to one side the things that divide. For as we grow in obedience and submission to the will of our Father, as reflected in Jesus and conveyed to us by the Holy Spirit, so we will become one. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? Yes, my God is still in the miracle business!
In the end, unity will not be achieved by an organization, although they can help, but through each of us being in tune with God's will for our lives - and doing it! Then finally, we will take The Message to all mankind and be ready for the final fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles, that most glorious celebration of all time, when our Jesus returns!

FROM THE WORD
"Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.†But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit." (1 Corinthians 6:16-17)"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Corinthians 1:10)
"Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation — but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.†The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed." (Romans 8:12-19)
DAVID'S DOODLINGS
213. United we stand, divided... God will wait upon another generation.401. Unity in Christ is so close to God's heart but so far away from ours!
402. Why do we keep asking God for more strength, when He has already given us the answer - unity!
403. We keep looking for the unity of one world government to arise in the nations, but constantly fail to seek it in the church.
404. The Godhead is the ultimate example of how a many faceted Church is to become united as one.

BRINGING EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE
Most of the struggles that we face in life are really inner ones. The outward battles are normally a result of deep inner conflicts that have been built over a lifetime.
If we are to truly experience victory over habits and wrong patterns of actions, then we must learn to undergo a transformation of our inner thoughts and feelings.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth 2 Cor. 10:5 NIV, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ"………
Paul was speaking of the spiritual battle that every Christian faces. He understood that the greatest conflicts of life are spiritual ones, and that the battleground is always the mind of the believer. Every thought must be brought ‘bound in chains’ to Christ, The Word.
Before a person comes to know Christ in a deeply personal way, the Bible says that he is a captive or slave to sin. In other words, our entire outlook and view of life is built upon attitudes and thought patterns that are contrary to God's plan for us.
We build those patterns of thoughts over months and years. When we come to know Christ, that doesn't mean that we no longer have to deal with wrong thought patterns. It simply means that we are no longer slaves to those patterns.
But we must learn to "take every thought to make it obedient to Christ." …..
God has given you weapons of spiritual warfare to overcome Satan's stronghold on your life.
Begin today to bring every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ because you can do it if you want to.

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
***Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused****** "Those who can't laugh at themselves leave the job to others." ***
220. WANT TO BE MARRIED?
A wedding was planned immediately following the Sunday morning service. After the benediction the minister was supposed to call the couple to be married to the front of the church for the ceremony.
Unfortunately, his mind went blank, and he couldn't remember their names. So he asked for "those wanting to be married" to come to the front.
Nine single ladies, three of them widows; four widowers; and six single men came forward immediately.
219. MARRIED BLISS
Adam and Eve had a unique advantage for starting married life: he didn't have to hear about the men she could have married and she didn't have to worry about not cooking things the way his mother cooked them.

FACTS FOR FUN
LAST WEEKS QUESTION: Why do paper cuts hurt so much?ANSWER: 1. It's not just paper cuts. Any shallow cut — whether made by paper or a sharp plastic edge — hurts more than a deep cut because the shallow one remains open.
The body quickly seals, with a blood clot, a deeper cut that bleeds. Indeed, any wound not sealed off, like an ulcer or a burn, hurts and, as soon as the doctor covers the open wound with a gel dressing, the pain lessens.
Try it the next time you get a paper cut. Cover your cut with a gel dressing made for ulcers and feel the tenderness lessen.
2. The sensory nerve endings are located closer to the skin surface, and the hands, where most paper cuts occur, contain more skin surface, and the hands, where most paper cuts occur, contain more nerve endings than almost any other area of the body. Dr. John Cook, of the Georgia Dermatology and Skin Cancer Clinic adds that a trivial laceration such as a paper cut creates the worst of both worlds: "it irritates these nerve endings but doesn't damage them very much."

SOME FUN FACTS
867. FOUR MORE
In English, the number 4 is the only one to have the same number of digits in its name as its value. (Unless you misspell ‘to’ of course.)
868. YOUR TESTIMONY
Arose from the custom in Ancient Rome where men placed their right hand on their testicles when taking an oath. The modern word ‘testimony’ derives from this. (Fortunately without the need for the accompanying action. What would women do?)
869. THE FIRST COMPUTER BUG
Was discovered by Admiral Grace Hooper, in a naval computer. This previously insignificant moth caught in a computer relay switch, causing the computer to malfunction and was the ancestor of the untold millions of ‘bugs’ that live in our computer systems today. (A super fertile specimen.)

LIFE'S A LAUGH
BANANASAs part of the admission procedure in the hospital where I work, I ask the patients if they are allergic to anything. If they are, I print it on an allergy band placed on the patient's wrists.
Once when I asked an elderly woman if she had any allergies, she said she couldn't eat bananas. Imagine my surprise when several hours later a very irate son came out to the nurses' station demanding, "Who's responsible for labeling my mother 'bananas'?"
IT'S OBVIOUS, ISN'T IT?
NASA wanted to find a writing implement that could be used in space.
It took 200 engineers and they spend over $2 billion to finally invent a space pen. This pen could write in zero gravity and the ink would still flow. NASA proudly announced their success and congratulations flowed in from all over the world.
In a short note to NASA, Canada congratulated them, but said that they too had found a solution at a fraction of the cost. They remarked, "We use a pencil."

'RAISING CAIN'Doesn't mean the world's first story of trouble with children - but it could well have been! Rather, it is 'to act with abandonment, or to act wildly' and of course comes from the story in Genesis where Cain murdered Abel and was considered to be a wild man thereafter.

A DAVID MUSING
This has been one of those wonderful weeks, when God has just showered His blessing upon me! The dam (not just a shower) broke over many areas of my life. In arranging for a radio programme producer, a new list to send emails to, a new teaching email (details shortly), 2 breakthroughs at church - altogether a great week! After a long period in the valley, it is great to see the view from the mountaintop again! Thank you Lord. Everything in your time. For us all. Waiting's hard though, isn't it? But worthwhile in the end.
"What's that about the Fruit of the Spirit, Lord?..... Patience..... Perseverance..... Okay..... Thank you, Lord....."
