Hello & Greetings from sunny South Dakota, USA. (A Message From Roy - Final week - Can you help?)
As many of you know, over 10,000 of these PGIM and Tuesday Teachings are sent out each week around the world, and there are also over 5,000 visitors (60,000+ hits) to the website each week........... You, like me, are among those who enjoy receiving the weekly newsletter / teaching, and also visiting the website. In mid 2003 The Lord placed it on my heart to "help" David's Ministry (even before I had met him) by being an unofficial fundraiser for him. You will have seen the article I have in the newsletter each week promoting just that. Although I am myself in full time Ministry and always looking for more Ministry dollars, The Lord has impressed upon me again to make a NEW request to ALL OF YOU to consider a gift to David's Ministry this year.
I could go on and on as to what David's Ministry does, where his teaching is received and used, where his encouragement ends up, where his wisdom, news and humor reaches throughout the world.
There are some wonderful people who have supported his Ministry and of course David and I are very grateful. So now I am asking again for MANY of you to give some financial support to him this year. For David has no other outside support other than through you who receive this each week.
We have a Sponsorship system in operation where someone (or 2 or 3) can sponsor a particular week of the PGIM newsletter. We have in the past had US$50 for a sponsorship for the week, but I know some want to but cannot do that amount, so we have included "half" sponsorships of a particular week at US$25.00.
David's Ministry is doing GREAT work....... and all those who can support it are in fact co-workers with David, and co-workers in the blessings the work is doing in thousands of peoples lives throughout the world. In fact it is much greater than just the thousands who receive the weekly emails because many are Pastors, Teachers and those in Ministry, who then use the material to teach & preach to countless more........
So I would like many of you to consider Sponsoring a specific week, knowing you have a unique opportunity to not only be blessed directly yourself (like I am),......... but to also bless countless others, literally all around the world.
Thanks.
If you are able to Sponsor send me an email by clicking on the address below and I will reply to you with the details. I do not receive any of the financial support, it all goes directly to David... my blessing comes from being obedient to what the Lord wants me to do. Can I thank you in advance, to really pray and consider helping this VERY worthwhile Ministry.
Regards,
Roy McGreevy

GETTING LIFE!
Making the time to read the Bible through in a couple of months is a hugely rewarding experience, one which I would encourage all to try. For it reveals a world of understanding that we don't get when continually looking in depth at perfectly prepared, piecemeal passages.Today, I would just like to leave you with a few of my overall observations, ones we all likely know, but which are emphasised in a general 'read'.
In my Bible, the first 1600 odd words cover both creation and the separation from our creator (3 Chapters), while the remaining 772,000 deal with God's grace in putting it right! Obvious where God's emphasis is!
It quickly becomes clear that this process of reconciliation requires the sacrifice of a 'life for a life'. Why? Because God requires it. And He makes the rules! Whether or not we understand or like them! For He is God, after all!
What is hugely interesting though, is the development of this restoration process between the Old and the New Testaments. Just thought I would list some of the changes I noticed. No doubt you can add more.

********** SECRET OF SUCCESS - BOTH OLD AND NEW - SUBMISSION TO THE WILL OF THE FATHER **********
My prayer for each one of us is that we may embrace the full revelation of the New Covenant, leaving behind the tempting 'religion' of the Old, firmly establishing the kingdom of God within.
A 'new 'computer programme with a Table Function built in, to replace the 'old' text only currently in use would be helpful too! And we could do without a (infrequent!) power cut in the middle of improving the layout! Now, I'm sure Jesus has the power...

FROM THE WORD
"If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come—one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law. He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.†The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: ‘You are a priest forever.’†Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant. Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever. he point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man. Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer. If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law. They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.†But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises. For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said: “The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12 For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.†By calling this covenant “new,†he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." DAVID'S DOODLINGS
THE AGE OF GRACE35. The biggest impediment for many in delaying a decision for Christ is the mistaken belief that the present ‘Age of Grace’ will never end.
36. God’s nature is finely balanced between love and judgement. As His love has predominated for the past 2000 years, how fearsome then must be the single Day of Judgement that is to come.
37. We know in life, that all good things come to an end. How is it then, that we continue to believe that the current age of God’s grace and mercy will go on forever?
38. Why is it that I continue to walk round and round the mountain when I know when the path to the top goes up?
178. God's gracious gift of grace is the reason to walk in truth, not an excuse to continue in sin.
317. God's graciously given grace gift gallantly galvanises garrulous, grateful gentiles!

Dear David,
WWJM #174 rang two bells from my past. I was the chief engineer for IBM's
portion of the Hubble Space Telescope (command, control, and integration of
the instrument package), so I was amused at your fanciful use of that grand
device. Also, in our final year in China, Denise and I had a copy of the
"Jesus" film dubbed in Putonghua (Mandarin Chinese). The effect on the
Chinese people of seeing that film with all narration and dialogue in their
own language was stunning--much more effective than the English-language
version we had used previously. So far as we know, that video is still in
China doing what it was intended to do.
We are blessed by your ministry. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
Blessings,
Dal

I'm still enjoying your PGIM newsletters and trying to convert (obviously not hard enough)from a believer to a disciple. Maybe it is too comfortable being just a believer?
I hope that you are not under undue stress? You seem to be so very busy and under some stress, or so it appears from the minor errors beginning to appear in your newsletter.
By the way is the answer to this week's word puzzle (American spelling) 'harbored'?
I may yet get to visit you in Napier. Having lost my wife and one of our dear friends to cancer in recent months, I'm experiencing an urge to visit New Zealand again.
Please relax more and take care of yourself.
Enjoy this summer in your life and harbour your energies for your next big call.
Blessings from snowy, frigid Canada.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: What exactly is "sea level"?
What you see depends on two things, where you are looking and whether you are on an even keel. So the answer is; as your first piece answers (Where is the kingdom?) in the heart of the believer who acknowledges the King. Only when we individually acknowledge that will we see truly straight and level (now only as through a misted up glass, but then , ah then.... we will see the King in all his glory.)

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
347. THE CONSULTANT
There once was a consultant who lived her whole life without ever taking advantage of any of the people she worked for. In fact, she made sure that every job she did resulted in a win-win situation. One day while walking down the street she was tragically hit by a bus and she died.
Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.
"Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a consultant make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."
"No problem, just let me in." said the consultant.
"Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in." "Actually, I think I've made up my mind...I prefer to stay in Heaven" "Sorry, we have rules..." And with that St. Peter put the consultant in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.
The doors opened and the consultant found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow consultants that she had worked with and they were all dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner. She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kinda cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. The consultant was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved good-bye as she got on the elevator.
The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her. "Now it's time to spend a day in heaven." So the consultant spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had a great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her. "So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity." The consultant paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell." So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again the consultant went down-down-down back to Hell.
When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her. "I don't understand," stammered the consultant, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."
The Devil looked at her and smiled, "That's because yesterday we were recruiting you, but today you're staff."
346. HANG ON
A mountain climber, who was also a Christian, began to slip as he climbed a dangerous section of the mountain. In a flash he had fallen over the edge of a cliff and began to plunge downward when he thrust out his hand and grabbed a small tree that had grown out from between two rocks. As he hung there fearing the worse, but trying to figure out what to do, he suddenly heard a voice calling him from above, "Just trust me, let go of the branch, and I will save you." Pausing a moment while he glanced down, the climber called out, "Hey, is there anyone else up there?"

Boy: "They raised Cain!"

FACTS FOR FUN
LAST WEEKS QUESTION: What exactly is "sea level"?ANSWER: "Sea level" is the position of the air-sea interface, to which all terrestrial elevations and submarine depths refer. Most people think "sea level" refers to some uniform, never-changing height of the ocean surface but, in fact, all the seas of the world are not at precisely the same level. Even in a single ocean, the height of the water changes constantly according to tides, wind, atmospheric pressure, gravitational pull, and even climate. Since there is no actual single "sea level," the concept of "mean sea level" is used. The US Geodetic Survey makes regular measurements at many locations and determines the 'average sea level' for a particular location, taking care to measure over all stages of a tide over a long period of time. This figure is used when referring to that specific location.

LETTER FROM YOUR FAVORITE AUNTDear Billy Joe Bob,
I'm writting this slow, because I know you ain't a fast reader.
We don't live where we use ta when you left home. Your Pa read in the newspaper that most accidents happen within 20 minutes of your home, so we moved.
I won't be able to send you the address, because the last family that lived here took the house numbers when they moved, so they wouldn't have to change their address.
This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. It ain't working so well, though. Last week I put a load of clothes in and pulled the chain - we haven't seen them since.
The weather isn't half bad. It only rained twice last week ~ the first time for three days and the second time for four days.
About that coat you wanted me to send. Your Uncle said it would be too heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on, so we cut them off . You'll find them in the pockets.
Ya ol' Uncle locked his keys in the car yesterday. We were really worried, because it took him two hours to get me and your dad out.
Your sister had a baby this morning, but I haven't found out what it is yet, so I don't know if you are an Aunt or an Uncle.
Luv from your Favourite Aunt.

A DAVID MUSING
Iain's letter in 'From You - To Me - To You' suggested I should take things a little easier. What a great excuse to watch a little cricket! Well 2 half games anyway! (Only 3 1/2 hours each half! And that is the short version of the game! Otherwise 5 days!)But I am sorry to say that my relaxation backfired! For New Zealand was soundly beaten twice, by our arch foes from across the Tasman Sea, Australia! And to make matters worse I also watched a game of Rugby Union and the NZ team where the Aussies again beat the NZ team! Just not on! Went to bed before the final game that the NZ team won! Must be a moral there somewhere. So I ended up being more stressed than before! Sorry Iain!
Not really! It was all good fun - and we do need to take a break sometimes, particularly in the beautiful summer weather we are having now. Round 25 degrees centigrade or a little more where we live. Very pleasant.
Hope you are not too jealous - of the weather, not our sporting endeavours. But for those now buried in snow, your time will come again.
Now what is snow actually like...
So until next week...
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD.
His servant and yours
