GOD KNOWS BEST – A TESTIMONY
Before leaving New Zealand for Africa, I prayed for the provision of a laptop computer to enable me to prepare the newsletter before sending it back home for distribution. On our previous trip Tony had brought his with him, but unfortunately, although my wife has multitudinous good attributes, none of them involve the possession of a laptop! An unanswered prayer! I would have to write out what I was going to say, and then spend hours in the local Internet Café typing it all out again without the benefit of the most helpful spell checker and grammar corrector that Microsoft Word provides. For the second night in a row, after two, powerfully anointed meetings, we went to the Internet Café on the way home to check emails. This time, I mentioned to our gracious host, Andrew Edwards that I would have to come and spend time there on Saturday to do my work. “No problem,†he unexpectedly says. “I have a computer at home you can use! Copy it to disc, then bring it down here to send as an attachment.†My prayers were instantly answered. For God knew better than I! My problem was not the laptop. That was merely the only solution I had thought of to my basic ‘communication’ need. He had it all in hand, but as usual, only told me at the last minute! Thank you Lord for looking after me once again! You are full of surprises!
So another lesson reinforced. The Lord moves in (to us) mysterious ways – both in the spiritual and the natural. He is the ultimate lateral thinker! But He always comes through! Maybe we should just let Him do it His way! Thank you Lord.

PGIM Extra Extra
Hello Everyone.I am writing this to you in support of David Tait who sends you the ‘Praise God it’s Monday!’ (PGIM!) newsletter each week. Maybe like me, you enjoy receiving this each week especially for the very good articles, jokes and insights. I find David’s writings to be very much ‘on target’.
I do not know David, have never met him, although I have sent emails to him, but even without the ‘personal contact’ I have felt very much led by God, on His behalf, yes David’s and God’s, to raise money for David’s Ministry. If you are not sure what he does, other than the weekly PGIM, I encourage you to check out his website.
I truly believe God wants us, his readers, to “help†him with his virtually unpaid Ministry and was given the idea, the concept, in an instant, just a few weeks ago.
The concept is that many of us will join together to SPONSOR one week, one newsletter a year, that he sends out. There are 52 weeks in a year and I am looking for 104 or more fellow supporters to sponsor one of those weeks for an amount of USD $50.00. Each week will have 2 sponsors @ US$50 each. If someone is unable to do the full USD $50, but still wants to support, then you can either find someone yourself to join you to make up the USD$50, or go for a quarter sponsorship at USD$30.00. I would then find someone to be the ‘other’ half for your sponsorship week.
Everybody who jointly sponsors a week will get an acknowledgment at the top of the PGIM newsletter on your chosen week, and that will include your name, your location, and a special reason for sponsoring e.g. a birthday, an anniversary or ?? If you don’t want some, or the entire acknowledgement published, just let me know.
I truly believe there are many of you who will join me in this…I am starting it off by sponsoring a week in June for USD $50.00, which is my birthday week, and then another $50 for a week in October which is a special anniversary date.. All sponsoring date requests will come to me (I’m in the USA) and I will confirm the date back to you, then ask you to send your financial support direct to David’s on-line donation link on his website.
I will ask you to make that support within 30 days of my confirming the date back to you, which may well be in advance of your actual sponsorship date. Remember that there are two sponsors for each week, so your chosen date should be available.
Can I thank many of you in advance for following this call, this request, I know it is God; David himself is overwhelmed by the offer. Lets from all around the world, support his Ministry.
Fell free to contact me at roy@kscbtv.com with any questions but preferably with requests for a sponsorship date.
Thank you,
Roy L McGreevy
AN AFRICAN EXPERIENCE
Coming back to Pretoria in South Africa, after one of the longest aeroplane rides in the world (14 hours), to stay with our friends Peter and Melodie Wheeler, was like returning to a home away from home. They made us so welcome and it was a real pleasure to be able to introduce them to Kathy.Sunday was a very “church†day! For in the morning we attended the well-known and very large Hatfield Christian Church, where the people had been so good to Tony and I on our previous visit. An excellent service in the largest church we had ever attended.
In the afternoon we headed out to Peter and Melodies own church, a mere 222km away from their home! Two hours traveling each way! On the way we passed many churches, yet this was the one the Holy Spirit had led them to attend. Yes, we have to be obedient, even when inconvenient! Thanks Peter and Melodie. An African experience to remember.
FROM THE WORD
MORE THAN CONQUERORSAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.â€
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.†(Romans 8:28-39)
DAVID'S DOODLINGS
### While yesterday's faith is but a memory, it provides the inspiration to reach higher today.### Funnily enough, faith to move mountains, is generally given to those first prepared to remove the mountain of rubbish from their own lives.
### The journey of faith starts with a single step.

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
***Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused***MORE KID WISDOM
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her 5 and 6 year-olds. After explaining the commandment "Honour thy Father and thy Mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
One little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill."

FACTS FOR FUN
LAST WEEKS QUESTION: How does a frog cope with freezing temperatures?ANSWER: Frogs have several strategies for surviving winter, depending on the species. Some hibernate, slowing down their body's metabolism and "sleeping" away the winter. Some aquatic hibernating frogs can even hibernate underwater! Terrestrial frogs usually hibernate on land. To avoid freezing to death, frogs have another trick: antifreeze. The frog may become frozen, but it doesn't die. It appears dead, but the high levels of glucose in its vital organs prevent complete freezing. It will stop breathing and its heart will even stop beating, but when temperatures rise, its organs will start up again.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: What was the first toy ever advertised on television?
Answer Next Week.

UNREPEATABLE?
The only 15 letter word that can be spelled without repeating a letter is uncopyrightable. (Copyrighted for sure!)
RATS TO YOU TOO!
Rats are such rampant breeders that in 18 months, two rats could have over a million descendants. (Hence the ‘Rat Attack’)
WHY DO WE SAY QUACK-QUACK?
When a duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why. (A quacker of a mystery!)

LIFE’S A LAUGH!
***Real life produces the best humour of all!***ASSUMPTIONS
A few years ago, I decided to visit my brother who was stationed in Germany. I assumed that most Germans would speak English. But I found that many people spoke only their native tongue - including the ticket inspector on the train.
He punched my ticket, then chatted cordially for a bit, making gestures like a windmill. I simply nodded from time to time to show him that I was interested.
When he had gone, an American woman soldier in the compartment leaned forward and asked if I spoke German.
"No," I confessed.
"Then that explains," she said, "why you didn't bat an eyelid when he told you that you were on the wrong train."

ANOTHER AFRICAN EXPERIENCE
On our first day in Kampala, Uganda we were able to attend part of a Morris Cerullo crusade Meeting. A part only, as it ran from 8am to 7pm! We were very privileged to be invited to sit in the guests tent – doubly so when the heavens opened in a truly African fashion! So what did the thousands of people out in the open do? Did they run for cover? No! With true African faith they prayed for the rain to stop! Two half hour cloudbursts later the rain cleared away and the meeting continued in an even, extra exuberant African fashion. But with most of the attendees soaked to the skin. And it wasn’t too warm a day either! Such faith and enthusiasm! Another African experience, never to be forgotten!A DAVID MUSING
When you go to a new country, or get involved in a new situation, it is simply human nature to wonder whether the Lord will follow you there! We (I anyway) can easily forget that God is everywhere and that He has been there preparing the way before we (I) knew anything about what I was to do!So it was with Uganda. The people here are so friendly, but you always wonder how the meetings will go. Will the people be responsive? Will the Holy Spirit move? We needn’t have worried! Even in the relatively conservative first church in which we are ministering, we are well received and the Holy Spirit is made welcome too. What a load off our minds. The Lord has come through again.
In the few days we have been here, there have been 2 deaths in our new church family. Firstly, one young man’s elderly father, on the eve of his formal marriage engagement ceremony, then today, our good friend, Pastor Robert’s brother. A timely reminder that life is fragile here in Africa and throughout the world. But both in joy and in sorrow life goes on. That is the way it has been since time began. And will be until the Lord returns. Praise be to the Lord – always.
His servant and yours

Our role is to bless and encourage those in ministry while promoting co-operation and unity of direction amongst the body of Christ, as emphasised 3 times by Jesus in His longest prayer, immediately prior to His arrest and crucifixion. "… so that they may be one as we are one." (John 17:12, 21, 23-4) Our website is currently being developed to encourage your participation one with another, to share resources, and to enable you to promote events and items of interest to the body as a whole – and have a smile while doing it!
