RUSH! RUSH! RUSH!
To write this article, I haven't got time,So maybe we'll have, just a brief rhyme.
For time is going faster you see,
For all of us, both you and me.
Studies show we walk faster round town,
Speed is going up, certainly not down.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said of my typing,
But still, it manages to keep up with my thinking!
Something has to give, something has got to go,
If to get through the day, we're to have a show!
Everything is urgent, it must get done,
Come rain, come hail, come wind or sun!
So what to leave out, just for today,
Which of my tasks, can I give away.
This memo is important, that meeting vital,
Everything to do is absolutely essential!
I know! Surely my God wont mind too much,
If I miss Him out this one day, as such,
He has so many people to look after,
Missing me today, wont be a disaster!
Tomorrow I will do much better,
Keep His Word to the letter.
I am sure that He will forgive me,
When my business He does see!
Tomorrow comes and nothing changes,
Having to talk to some strangers.
God, I have to put you aside again,
To meet the challenges set by men.
It's all good works, as you know, my Father,
No time for faith, but will do the other!
Forgive me Lord, as I know you will do,
For my Lord, to me, you are so true.
Busyness continues over the week,
Never to God, now get to speak,
In fact, He goes out of my busy mind,
No, not deliberately, not being unkind.
But I have sooo many other vital priorities,
Now no backstop, no heavenly securities!
But surely, nothing will go wrong,
All my good deeds, right on song!
(To be continued when I have time!)

FROM THE WORD
"The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." (Revelation 1:1-3)"And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.†Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm." (Revelation 11:16-19)
"Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy.†“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.†(Revelation 22:10-16)

DAVID'S DOODLINGS
A MATTER OF TIME69. Time is not valued until it is running out.
70. Time is like any other commodity. When you have plenty of it, it is valueless but when it is short, it is priceless.
71. Time is an illusion. At first it appears plentiful, but suddenly disappears into thin air.
72. Let’s not think, “if only I had time,†but rather how best to use, “the only time I have.â€
73. The most precious gift we can give is often the least appreciated – our time.
74. “If only I had time†is more often an excuse than a reason.
75. Life is like a one-foot rule. We inch our way along it until inevitably falling off the far end.
76. Life and time are inversely proportional. The older and slower we get, the faster time goes.
77. What is the one thing that cannot be stored for future use? Time.
78. There is nothing on earth as perishable as time.
79. The difficult takes time, the impossible a little longer.
80. Time is a fine servant but a harsh master.
81. Love and time walk hand in hand.

FROM YOU - TO ME - TO YOU
Dear David,We have found your last three homilies on money extremely challenging, and have forwarded them on to our vicar who is to preach on our attitude to money this coming Sunday. Keep up the good work, and may the Lord continue to bless you, provide all your needs, and through you to bless others.

LAUGHING AT OURSELVES
***Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall never cease to be amused****** "Those who can't laugh at themselves leave the job to others." ***
604. A JUST REWARD
A fine funeral was ordered for a woman who had henpecked her husband, driven her kids half nuts, scrapped with the neighbors at the slightest opportunity, and even made neurotics of the cat and dog with her explosive temper.
As the casket was lowered into the grave, a violent thunderstorm broke, and the pastor's benediction was drowned out by a blinding flash of lightning, followed by terrific thunder.
"Well," commented one of the mourners, "sounds like she got where she was going."
603. NOT ENOUGH TIME
A patient, while recovering in the hospital from a heart attack, met this over-zealous evangelist.
After listening politely for over a half-hour on how thankful he should be to have been spared, and how he should repent at once, he was asked if all of his sins had flashed before his eyes during the heart attack.
The patient responded, "Don't be ridiculous, the attack lasted only 6 hours!"

The praying mantis is the only insect that can turn its head! (Maybe that’s why it prays. Because it can see more than others!)

Bats always turn left when exiting a cave. (That’s right!)

37. THE HIGH TECH CAT
By Beverly Bardsley
The modern world leaves me a wreck,
But not my kitty -- she's high tech!
When snoozing she prefers to nap
On my laptop, not my lap.
For exercise and to relax
She takes a stroll across the fax,
Then leaps to land on the computer --
The narrow top seems built to suit her.
She dusts the screen off with her tail
While I'm reading my e-mail.
When I'm sleeping peacefully
She checks phone messages for me,
Then looks at me as if to say,
"Well, the button was marked PLAY."
If she's feeling really bored
She hits the button for record --
Words not for a stranger's ear
Go on tape for all to hear.
But as a self-respecting cat
There's one gizmo she draws the line at.
Of all the gadgets in the house
There's one she'll never touch - the mouse!

ASIA: CHINA: NEARLY 2,000 PERSECUTION EVENTS LAST YEAR
A report released by the China Aid Association lists events of persecution in different provinces of China from May 2005 to May 2006. The report shows that 1,958 house church pastors and Christians were affected in 15 provinces across China. Teacher and leadership training events seem to be viewed as particularly threatening by the government officials who seem to aim to control the indoctrination of the next generation of Christians. The central province of Henan was listed as the worst for persecution against house churches with 823 pastors and believers arrested in 11 raids from July 2005 to May 2006. The report shows that police officers and religious affairs cadres often mistreated and tortured the Christian captives. Two women, ages 72 and 21, were forced to strip during questioning. China has about 10 million state-registered Protestants and an estimated 50 to 90 million unregistered "house church" Protestants. WAXING LYRICAL
When we run out of ideas we have a tendency to make something up! Not a good idea!THE QUANDRY!
Have no idea on what to write,
Must be careful not to skite,
But there's nothing to skite about!
Could make something up - no doubt!
Rather, I'm not that very brave,
So just will leave an empty page.
For the Lord would know of my little game,
On Judgement Day, I must take the blame!
Better to be silent now, than boasting,
In this I'll avoid a needless roasting!
So reading this huffing and puffing,
You've ended up learning nothing!
Sorry about that, my patient friend,
But that is the way, this must end!

A DAVID MUSING
Over recent days we have had two shocks, two unexpected events amongst happening amongst our friends. It makes you think. The progress of life is so uncertain. We do not know what is going to happen next. Even the greatest prophet does not know what is going to happen in their personal lives, and of their nearest and dearest, when they wake up in the morning.God has organised it that way for our own good. While we think we would like to know the future, in all honesty, I doubt that we really would. While we say we would have done things differently, had we known what was going to happen, I doubt, if we really would. Have just felt even more guilty!
But these sad experiences have given me a jolt! A reminder of how uncertain both life itself, and circumstances we take for granted, really are.
"Lord, help me not to take things for granted. Help me to be the person you truly want me to be."
Until next week...
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD.
His servant and yours
David Tait
