EXPLANATION OF THE POWER OF THREE.
PART 2. THE INDIVIDUAL
INTRODUCTION: The Table on the church, from last time, equally applies to the individual also. You can try and going back to that Table, and see.
The threes selected for the INDIVIDUAL Table however can be directly applied to your life and mine, to see where our walk with Jesus is truly at.
Each item shows individual development, or discipleship, under the headings of the 3 entities that go towards making up the full nature of God. You can’t pick and choose.
DEVELOPMENT: Most believers agree that salvation is the first step in our walk with Jesus. However, the dispute that has split the church since 1900 is the necessity for an extra touch of the Holy Spirit. However, my life experience of being brought up in a Baptist church, who believes that they have all the Holy Spirit on belief or baptism, shows that it is not true. For without the Holy Spirit infilling or baptism, these tables would not exist, for He is my inspiration, teacher and guide. However, this is not all. Spirit filled churches do not understand that a further step remains if we are to become 100% followers of the Father. That is, submission of our will to that of our Father.
Nor can you jump from the Jesus column to the Father column without going through the Holy Spirit. Many try and fail. With the fullness of the Holy Spirit, it is not possible through human effort.
THE NEW COVENANT: Just a tip. A covenant, like a contract has 3 parts. The contract’s purpose, plus the price, then the signature. With God’s contracts there is no bargaining. We either accept or reject them. Please read the Scriptures to confirm the details of this incredibly key New Covenant. It is what our faith is all about.
3 PARTS OF MAN: Our body belongs to Jesus. We are to emulate Him. Our Spirit, our emotions, are seated in our heart the home of the Holy Spirit. Our will, what we do, belongs to the Farther. Each part must be given to Him.
Likewise for our soul.
NEW TESTAMENT TRIAD: When we accept Jesus, we have the hope of salvation. The Holy Spirit builds faith. Agape love is of and to the Father.
THE 3 BIRDS: The sparrow flies near the ground, the dove a little higher, but only the eagle flies to the top of the mountain where the very presence of God resides. The eagle is a solitary bird. There aren’t many in relation to the other two. Nor does it fly in flocks. It is not a church, but those few who prepared to pay the price and seek a deep relationship with the Father.
THE TAENTS AND MINAS: Both show a greater increase between the 2nd and 3rd column that between the other two.
THE POWER OF 3: David Tait’s revelation. With Jesus in our lives we have a power of 3. Add the Holy Spirit and our potential powers multiply to 9 times as opposed to 3. Obedience to the Father makes us so much more powerful, to a factor of 27. This mathematical progression is simply an illustration to show that the more we give to God the more He gives to us. Don’t pray for a revival; seek a change of heart and behaviour and apply it.
The plains are comfortable, easy to live in. The foothills takes a little more effort, but less populated and more rewarding. However, climbing to the top of the mountain where the Spirit of God dwells takes all our effort which few are prepared to make. But the reward is out of this world!
How high are you willing to climb?
PS: Please look up the verses for the ones I have omitted and discover their application for you.

FROM THE WORD
THE WORDS OF JESUS
May we hear what the Lord is saying to us.....
Life Through the Son of God (John 5:16-30)
Jesus criticized for healing on the Sabbath and claiming to be God’s son.
“My Father is still working, and so am I.”
“I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does the Son does as well. For the Father loves the Son, and reveals to him everything he does; and the Father will show to him even more incredible things that will completely amaze you. For just as the Father gives life to those he resurrects from the dead, in the same way the Son also gives life to those that he wants. The Father judges no one. He has given to the Son all the authority to judge, so that everyone may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him. I tell you the truth: those who follow what I say and trust the One who sent me have eternal life. They won’t be condemned, but have gone from death to life. “I tell you the truth: The time is coming—in fact it’s here already—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live! Just as the Father has life-giving power in himself, so has he given the Son the same life-giving power in himself. The Father also granted the authority for judgment to him, for he is the Son of man. Don’t be surprised at this, for the time is coming when all those in the grave will hear his voice and will rise again: those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation. I can do nothing by myself. I judge based on what I’m told, and my decision is right, for I’m not doing my own will but the will of the One who sent me.
Testimonies of Jesus (John 5:31-47)
If I were to make claims about myself, such claims wouldn’t be valid; but someone else gives evidence about me, and I know what he says about me is true. You asked John about me, and he told the truth, 34but I don’t need any human endorsement. I’m explaining this to you so you can be saved. John was like a brightly-burning light, and you were willing to enjoy his light for a while. But the evidence I’m giving is greater than John’s. For I am doing the work that the Father gave me to do, and this is the proof that the Father sent me. The Father who sent me, he himself speaks on my behalf. You’ve never heard his voice, and you’ve never seen what he looks like, and you don’t accept what he says, because you don’t trust in the one he sent.
“You search the Scriptures because you think that through them you’ll gain eternal life. But the evidence they give is in support of me! And yet you don’t want to come to me so that you might live. I’m not looking for human approval —I know you, and that you don’t have God’s love in you. For I’ve come to represent my Father, and you won’t accept me; but if someone comes representing themselves, then you accept them! How can you trust in me when you look for praise from one another and yet you don’t look for praise from the one true God? But don’t think I will be making accusations about you to the Father. It’s Moses who is accusing you, the one in whom you place such confidence. For if you really trusted Moses you would trust in me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t trust what he said, why would you trust what I say?”

Pity, as I had some nice photos too!
BOOK OF THE WEEK
One day, while in the shower, (that is, from a bucket) in Nairobi, Kenya, the Lord gave me a revelation. I had just seen the amazing new TBN broadcasting auditorium on TV, filled with beautiful people (it seems compulsory for preachers to have glamorous wives, generally much younger than themselves!), fantastic choirs, singers and setting, all broadcast over 47 satellites.
In the shower the Lord showed me a picture of the Pentecostal church. How it started in storefronts and homes, of how rejected these first weird ‘pentes’ were. But these early pentecostals remained fully committed to the cause, staying close to God, for they were then at the forefront of God’s revelation and indeed, presence. Gradually however, Pentecostalism (now with a capital ‘P’,) has become mainstream. Pastors (and now Bishops) have become elevated beyond a job description or a calling, to positions above the people – a new priesthood. In the west, new pastors must be seminary trained, and are likely receive a reasonable salary from the beginning of their ministry.
No longer is their real sacrifice in being ‘called’ to ministry. In our services, the emphasis has changed from listening to the Holy Spirit and following His desires, to a concentration on excellence and good order, to the near exclusion of the Holy Spirit leading us. Worship times, unlike the days of the storefront believers, are based on a proven formula of thanksgiving, praise, then worship, followed by (maybe) a prophecy, then the Word and finally ministry – until we all go home after exactly 2 hours.
Next comes an emphasis on building buildings ‘for the glory of God’, as so grandiosely epitomized by TBN. I have been involved in three different pentecostal churches over the years and have seen this process in practice. All churches that started meeting in homes, then storefronts or halls, before being ‘called’ to build or buy a church.
The church then has to be rebuilt to be bigger, or ancillary buildings added, so that a ‘church complex’ is created. Often too, we hear the statement, ‘God is in the house’. Wow! Fantastic! But is it true? Is God really in these beautiful structures man has created? Or rather, is He in the hearts of the people who inhabit the house? Or again, has He departed altogether, to allow us to ‘play church’ in the beautiful temples we have built.
The process of ‘monument building’ that started in the fourth century AD with the Roman Catholic Church, and which continued after the Reformation once those churches became mainstream, continues today as Pentecostalism enters the mainstream also. This seems to be the process of a ‘maturing church’. The Lord showed me that the people He calls on to impart the next revelation are those with the kingdom within, those dissatisfied with the established status quo, those hungering for more of Him.
Those whose emphasis remains on the spiritual, who have not been seduced by the inevitable physical emphasis of the ‘maturing’ church. Today God is calling out another new generation, as He has in times past. It is a new generation desiring to move forward into the new (but old!) truths of submission and obedience to the Father’s will, of servanthood and 5 sacrifice, a simple people with hearts sold our to God, those who will finally fulfil the Great Commission. A Church not of Pastors, Programmes and Property, but of ‘kingdom people’, who, through their sacrifice, will usher in the return of Jesus.

95. Whose Law?
A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter. So he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: "I have circled the block 10 times. If I don't park here, I'll miss my appointment. FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES." When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note. "I've circled this block for 10 years. If I don't
give you a ticket, I'll lose my job. LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION."
96. B.I.B.L.E.
A father was approached by his small son who told him proudly, "I know what the Bible means!" His father smiled and replied," What do you mean, you 'know' what the Bible means?" The son replied, "I do know!"
"Okay," said his father. "So, Son, what does the Bible mean?" "That's easy, Daddy. It stands for 'Basic Information Before Leaving Earth."
QWIK QWIP: “There are two things I've learned: There is a God. And, I'm not Him.”
