AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS - LOVE
What is at the heart of the end time, kingdom church? The answer is actually very simple in principle, if not so simple to activate! For the answer is found in one word - LOVE.
But what is love?
1. LOVE IS THE CHARACTER OF GOD
2. WE ARE COMMANDED TO LOVE GOD IN RETURN
3. THE ATTITUDE OF THE DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH
4. WE ARE ALSO COMMANDED TO LOVE OTHERS
5. CAN WE BECOME 'LOVE'LY BY OURSELVES?
6. GOOD WORKS AND LOVE ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE SAME
7. LOVE MUST CHANGE US
8. LOVE CHANGES THOSE WE LOVE
9. LOVE IS THE SOURCE OF UNITY
10.LOVE IS THE KEY TO THE KINGDOM
Today.....
CONCLUSION
Over the past 10 weeks we have considered many facets of 'love'. It is impossible to do a fully comprehensive job, for the love generated by and through God encompasses all - if we allow it to!
We need to have this personal revelation and experience of God's love within us in order to live it out through our day to day lives.
Unfortunately, this is not a revelation or experience we can gain from going to church on a Sunday, or seven days a week, for that matter. For formal religion, as such, is based on theology. Our beliefs are what separate us, denomination by denomination. Rules, both formal and informal, are the glue that binds us together, into a particular church.
But the kingdom of God, both on earth and in heaven, is built on the foundation of unconditional love, unconditional love of God and unconditional love of others.
To enter the kingdom requires a personal 100% (fold) commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ. To seek, hear and obey the voice of God in all that we do. Let us again be reminded of the verse that is conveniently ignored by 95% of preachers, teachers and Christians alike.....
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,†but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.(1 John 2:3-6)
Obedience to God's word, both written and as revealed through the Holy Spirit (not a pastor, church etc.) is the key to having God's love dwell in us. We must emulate Jesus.
One of the greatest thrills of my life occurred one day as I was walking down the road towards town and a complete stranger stopped me and simply said, "I can see God shining out of you," before walking on. I was flabbergasted to tell the truth!
Yet as the bride is made ready for the return of Jesus.....
Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.†(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) (Revelation 19:8)
..... this will become a more common experience as the robes of righteousness, the robes of God's love, shine out of His chosen bride.
Are you; am I, willing to make the sacrifice of complete commitment to our Saviour and Lord? Jesus is calling us today.

FROM THE WORD
THE WORDS OF JESUSMay we hear what the Lord is saying to us.
Workers are Few (Matthew 9:35-8)
Talking to His disciples.
“The harvest is large, but there are only a few workers. Pray to the Lord of the harvest, and ask him to send more workers for his harvest.â€
Sending Out the Twelve (Matthew 10:1-42, Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:1-6)
After giving them spiritual authority and power.
“Don’t go to the foreigners, or to any Samaritan city. You are to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Wherever you go, tell the people, ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal those who are sick. Resurrect the dead. Cure the lepers. Drive out demons. You received freely, so give freely! Don’t carry any gold, silver, or copper coins in your pockets, or a bag for your journey, or two cloaks, or sandals, or a walking stick, for a worker deserves to be supported. Wherever you go, whatever town or village, ask for someone who lives according to good principles, and remain there until you leave. When you enter the house, give it your blessing. If the home deserves it, let your peace rest on it, but if it doesn’t deserve it, let your peace return to you. “If someone doesn’t welcome you, and refuses to listen to what you have to say, then leave that house or that town, shaking its dust off your feet as you go. I tell you the truth, it will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah at the Day of Judgment than for that town!
“Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. So be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Watch out for those who will hand you over to be tried by town councils and will whip you in their synagogues. You will be dragged before governors and kings because of me, to witness to them and to the foreigners. But when they put you on trial, don’t worry about how you should speak or what you should say, because you’ll be told what to say at the right time. For it’s not you who will speak but the spirit of the Father will speak through you. Brother will betray brother and have him killed, and a father will do the same to his child. Children will rebel against their parents, and have them put to death. Everyone will hate you because you follow me, but everyone who endures until the end will be saved.
“When you’re persecuted in one town, run away to the next. I’m telling the truth: you won’t finish going to
the towns of Israel before the Son of man comes. Disciples are not more important than their teacher; servants are not more important than their master. Disciples should be satisfied to become like their teacher, and servants like their master. If the head of the house has been called the head demon Beelzebub, then the members of his household will be demonized even more! So don’t be frightened of them, for there’s nothing covered that won’t be exposed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known. 27What I tell you here in the dark, declare when it’s light, and what you hear whispered in your ear, shout from the rooftops. Don’t be afraid of those who can kill you physically, but can’t kill you spiritually. Instead, be afraid of the One who can destroy you physically and spiritually in the fires of destruction. Aren’t two sparrows sold for just one penny? But not a single one of them falls to the ground without your Father knowing about it. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So don’t worry—you’re worth more than many sparrows!
“Anyone who publicly declares their commitment to me, I will also declare my commitment to them before my Father in heaven. But anyone who publicly denies me, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
Don’t think I’ve come to bring peace on earth. I haven’t come to bring peace, but a sword. I’ve come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be those of your own family! If you love your father or mother more than me you don’t deserve to be mine, and if you love your son or daughter more than me you don’t deserve to be mine. 38If you don’t pick up your cross and follow me you don’t deserve to be mine. If you try to save your life, you will lose it, but if you lose your life because of me you will save it. Those who welcome you welcome me, and those who welcome me welcome the one that sent me. Those who welcome a prophet because that’s what they are will receive the same reward as a prophet. Those who welcome someone who does right will receive the same reward as someone who does right. I tell you the truth, those who give a drink of cool water to the least important of my disciples will definitely not miss out on their reward.â€
The Disciples Return (Matthew 14:13, Mark 6:30-2, Luke 9:10, John 6:1)
With their news. Jesus takes them away from the crowd.
“Come with me, just yourselves. We’ll go to a quiet place, and rest for a while,â€

194. AND THEN THERE WERE NONE
10 little Christians standing in line. 1 disliked the preacher, then there were 9.
9 little Christians stayed up very late. 1 overslept Sunday, then there were 8.
8 little Christians on their way to Heaven. 1 took the low road and then there were 7.
7 little Christians chirping like chicks. 1 disliked music, then there were 6.
6 little Christians seemed very much alive, but one lost his interest then there was 5.
5 little Christians pulling for Heaven's Shore, but one stopped to rest, then there were 4.
4 little Christians each busy as a bee. 1 got his feelings hurt, then there were 3.
3 little Christians knew not what to do. 1 joined the sporty crowd, then there were 2.
2 little Christians, our rhyme is nearly done, differed with each other, then there was 1.
1 little Christian can't do much 'tis true, brought his friend to bible study, then there were 2.
2 earnest Christians, each won one more. That doubled the number, then there were 4.
4 sincere Christians worked early and late. Each won another then there were 8.
8 splendid Christians if they doubled as before. In just so many Sundays, we'd have 1,024.
In this little jingle, there is a lesson true, you belong either to the building or to the wrecking crew!
193. PRAYER POSTURING
"The proper way for man to pray," said Deacon Lemuel Keyes, "And the only proper attitude is down upon your knees."
"No, I should say the way to pray," said Reverend Dr. Wise, "Is standing straight with upraised arms and rapt and upturned eyes."
"Oh, no, no, no!" said Elder Sloe... "Such posture is too proud. A man should pray with eyes fast closed and head contritely bowed."
"It seems to me his hands should be austerely clasped in front with both thumbs pointing downward," said Reverend Dr. Blunt.
"Last year I fell in Hodgekin's well headfirst," said farmer Cyrus Brown. "With both my heels a-stickin' up, my head a-pointin' down. And I made a prayer right then and there - best prayer I ever said - the prayingest prayer I ever prayed - a-standin' on my head!"
192. 'HUSHERS'
Six-year-old Angie and her four-year-old brother Joel were sitting together in church. Joel giggled, sang, and talked out loud. Finally, his big sister had had enough.
"You're not supposed to talk out loud in church."
"Why? Who's going to stop me?" Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're 'hushers'."

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: Is it true that turtles don't age?
Answer Next Week.
543. SMALL BUT LARGE
A ‘hamlet’ is a ‘group of houses smaller than a village’. Usually consisting of around 20 people it has no Mayor and is without any form of municipal government. The largest hamlet in the world is Sherwood Park in Alberta, Canada, with a population of 45,000 and no local government. (No bureaucrats? Unbelievable!)
544. PRE-PREPARED - NATURALLY!
Pecan nuts are the only food that doesn’t need to be treated or dehydrated for Astronauts to take into space. (Helps keep down the costs of the Space Programme?)
545. AT THE MOVIES
The movie that plays at the drive-in in the beginning of ‘The Flintstones’ movie is ‘The Monster’. (Monster movies haven’t lost their popularity over the 1000’s of years then!)

"So why are you in uniform?"
"Today is my day off."
278. LIVING IN HOPE
Little Bobbie had been pawing over a stationer's stock of greeting cards for some time when a clerk asked, "Just what is it you're looking for? A birthday greeting, message to a sick friend? An Anniversary, or a congratulations to your mom and dad?"
Little Bobbie shook his head and answered, "Nope. Got any blank report cards?"
277. HE'S GREAT
"He's great on the court," a sportswriter said of a college basketball player in a interview with his coach. "But how's his scholastic work?"
"Why, he makes straight A's," replied the coach.
"Wonderful!" said the sportswriter.
"Yes," agreed the coach, "but his B's are a little crooked."
276. THE MENS ROOM
In the Men's Room at work, the boss put a sign directly above the sink. It had a single word printed on it "THINK".
The next day when he went into the Men's Room he looked at his sign and right below it immediately above the soap dispenser was a carefully printed sign which read: "THOAP"
275. WINGS
A mother traveled 2,000 miles to be with her only son on the day he was to receive his Air Force wings and also get married.
"It was wonderful," she said later. "It isn't every day that a mother watches her son receive his wings in the morning and have them clipped in the evening."

God breaks through on a converted Welsh farm
We’ve grown used to stories of dazzling new churches with huge followings, global media ministries and where founders and leaders become worldwide celebrities. Roy Godwin and Dave Roberts tell a different story. No glittering palace of worship here, no global media empire and no megachurch congregation. Instead, this is the story of a converted farm, high up in the bleak but beautiful hills of west Wales, where God breaks through. The Grace Outpouring is a simple story of hospitality and prayer - where all are made welcome and aware of God’s presence. There’s no story of building a congregation or even a resident community. Instead, the core vision is a scattered prayer community - the Caleb Community - pouring the grace and power of God outward into the world, rather than inward, into a church. A DAVID MUSING
This week we have had a visit by Aikins Doh, a pastor from Ghana who has being wisiting Australia. We met over the internet 18 months or so ago, and Aikins was determined to come to New Zealand to visit us, and another. The story of his trip to New Zealand from Australia was one of absolute perseverance! From a delay is getting a visa, meaning a missed flight. From late processing at Auckland Airport leading to missing a bus to Napier. To spending a night in the airport lounge, before finally catching the bus.
When reaching Napier he shared a good message with our group, and in turn, we were able to minister to him.
Then off in another bus to visit Faith Bible College in Tauranga for 2 nights, before catching the bus for Auckland again, and flying back to Australia for a week, before returning to Ghana.
Aikens believed the Lord led him to come, and in spite of big barriers being placed in his way, he overcame them all.
The Lord has blessed him for his perseverance. Thank you Aiken for your example, witness and determination.
So until next week.....
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU BLESS GOD
His servant and yours
